I create Greeting Cards from my artworks which I am proud and happy to share with you. The quality of the printed cards and richness of colour is lovely - no filters used.

Who doesn't love a bunch of flowers in a vase! I have been lucky to be involved with a painting group of friends, one of who's husband grows amazing roses. Mim usually arrives at our painting sessions with a bunch of something from the garden knowing they will probably be an inspiration to me. She told me whenever she arranges flowers in a vase now, she thinks of me. Aww...

Sometimes I just pick whatever is around on my walks and bring them home to wherever I am staying to create a still life - I love that all my paintings take me back to the day I painted them.

You may have noticed that figures are not huge on my product list - I tend towards nature mostly. But sometimes a figure sneaks in - and these are the ones that I like.

I met a British artist - Paul Wadsworth - when I was in Kerala, India in early 2019. I was there on a Bollywood dancing trip with some friends from home. I was so inspired when I saw his brushes and large painters book set up on the veranda of the villa opposite mine. When he showed me what he was doing - I’d never seen someone paint like that - I just wanted to get inside his head and see the world through his eyes. So I went to two workshops back to back at his home studio in St Just Cornwall in Sept that year. My works currently are not quite as expressionist, but I think the freedom I learned from Paul, and plain air painting, have stayed.

About bla.b.lab Greeting cards

I have been a creative all my life. Now that I am able to focus on painting, the canvases are building up. In September 2022, I found myself creating bla.b.lab Greeting Cards from my existing works. When the first order of cards arrived I got really excited - they look lovely. My background in admin and customer service has made the transition from canvases to cards and into my online shop without too much stress - apart from the timing of leaving on our trip! Now I am ready to share them - it is a pleasure to be following my passion.
